Obituary for Donald G. Litton
Funeral services for Mr. Donald G. Litton will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Michael Tarpley and Perry Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation for Mr. Litton will be on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 10:00 am until service time.
Mr. Litton entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Rapides Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Litton was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved his family and enjoyed serving others in his community. Mr. Litton served as a principal at Coushatta high school in Coushatta, Louisiana and at North East high school in Meridian, MS.
Mr. Litton was also an ordained minister, baptizing over 200 souls while serving as pastor of Friendship Baptist Church in Pollock, Louisiana for over twelve years. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Mr. Litton was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Lou Ester Litton; his son, Bryan Litton and a brother, Stephen Litton.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 30 years, Janice Litton; seven sons, Justin Tyler Litton (Tessa), Jared Richard Litton, Nathaniel A. Litton (Dana), Jonathan Seth Litton, Christopher John Tusi (Jennifer), David Joseph Tusi (Reba), and Donnie Litton; one daughter, Jennifer Richelle Modeland; six grandchildren, Jacob, Avery, Nicole, Courtney, Alexandra and Jalynn; one sister, Rita Ellis (Roger) and a sister-in-law, Jeri Litton; two brothers, Freddie Litton (Beverly) and Lane Litton (Melissa) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
