Obituary for Donald Eugene Boothroyd
Mr. Donald Eugene Boothroyd, age 83 of Boyce, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at his residence.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Bessie Boothroyd; and three of his siblings.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Venita Martin Boothroyd; a daughter, Helen Martin; a step-daughter, Stacey Atella (Jeff Phillips); sons, Darrell Boothroyd (Lori), Donald Keith Boothroyd, Dwight Edward Boothroyd, and Dale Kirby (Ronda); step-son, David Frankovic (Holly); and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family and friends.
Donald was the hardest working man you will ever meet. He was very giving; he would go above and beyond to help others that needed help. He was a man that if you met him, you would never forget him. He was very stubborn and hardheaded. He enjoyed doing mechanic work on tractors and vehicles. He was in the Army for 2 ½ years and went to Korea. He only left the Army because he was medically discharged. He was very devout in his faith and was a long-time member of Faith Chapel Church. He loved his church family. He was a loving husband, father, step father, uncle and friend and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to a Veterans assistance program or to Clifton Faith Chapel Pentecostal Church instead.
