Obituary for Dewey Thomas Millard Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Dewey Thomas Millard, Sr. will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Koonce officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Millard, age 85 of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Hill Top Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Millard was a Patriot, loved his family and his country. He was a Vietnam veteran and served for over twenty years in the United States Air Force. Mr. Millard was a member of Homewood Baptist Church and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
Mr. Millard was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Fannie Millard; a son, Dewey Millard, Jr.; his daughter, Sharron Lopez and his grandson, Dillon Millard.
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 53 years, Geraldine Millard; two daughters, Sheila Gallent and Vicki Hutchens; son-in law, Bob Lopez; three brothers, Arnold Millard (Virginia), Ronnie Millard (Bara) and Terry Millard; four grandchildren, Randall Gallent, James McCracken, Joshua Hutchins and Kelsie Hutchins and two great-grandsons, Kylan and Kaisyn Gallent.
Pallbearers honored to serve are James McCracken, Bubba Dubois, Bob Lopez, Jerry McDaniel, Walter Lazard and James Walker.
