Obituary for Deveta Marie Wilson
Mrs. Deveta Marie Danzy Wilson, age 74 of Dry Prong, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Visitation for Deveta will be Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at New Prospect Baptist Church from 1:00-3:00 PM. Service will be at 3:00 PM at New Prospect Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Interment will follow the service and be at Frazier Cemetery.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Paul Saucier, Derek Daniels, Billy Ray Bryan, Mason York, Lance Delrie, and Clayton Noakes.
Deveta is preceded in death by her parents, L.W. and Charlene Miller Danzy.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 46 years, Clifford Wilson; son, Chad Delrie (Shana); daughters, Pammie Wilson Johnson (Gillie), Holly York (Kory), and Cammie Wilson Bryan (James Clark); seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Peter, Billy Ray, Valori, Ragan, Lance and Mason; host of great grandchildren; brother, Douglas Danzy (Chi); and sisters, Paula Bounds (Terry) and Genese Jenkins (Will).
Deveta loved to play board games with her kids and grandkids; she was one that wanted her kids and grandkids around her all the time. She enjoyed working in her yard and around her pool. She retired from the Forest Service after 25 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
