Obituary for Cynthia Powell Roberts
Mrs. Cynthia Kay Powell Roberts, age 69, entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Ochsner Health in Shreveport.
There will be a Graveside service in Coleman Cemetery, Dry Prong, on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Trey Lewis officiating.
Mrs. Cynthia was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She loved nature and all the animals that lived there. She would bring in all stray animals and loved and fed them, wild or tame. She found joy in gardening to grow flowers and fruits and vegetables and would cook them to feed her family and friends. Her garden was magazine worthy. Mrs. Cynthia was also a faithful member of New Prospect Baptist Church and will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, John E. Powell; brother, Robert E. Powell; and sister-in-law, Debbie Powell.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jay C. Roberts; daughter, Mandy Roberts; step-daughters, Cindy Roberts and Christie Bates; step-son, Jeff Roberts; mother, Ouida Powell; sisters, Alisha Ingles (Scott) and Angela Bruce (Rick); step grandchildren, Alyssa Llorence, Dallas Hidalgo; step great grandchild, Landon Hidalgo; nephews, and friends.
