Obituary for Cliff David Colson
Mr. Cliff David Colson, age, 70 of Alexandria, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Tioga Community Care Facility in Tioga, Louisiana surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Colson was born December 25, 1950 in Alexandria, Louisiana and retired from International Paper as a welder. He was an avid fisherman, and loved being on the water. He made sure that he kept his boat, truck, and jeep immaculate, and running like new, so that he was always ready for the next trip. He fished, and hunted so that he could share with his friends, and families, through fish fry's and cookouts. He was very particular about the way he did things, and we all knew that he was going to make whatever project he was working on as perfect as possible.
Mr. Colson was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his two daughters, Melissa Close and Stephanie Colson; two grandchildren, Joshua Taylor Close and Olivia Paige Close and two brothers, Donald Colson and Randall "Randy" Colson and friends.
At this time the family is going to postpone the funeral services due to the rise in COVID numbers and we will have a memorial service in the Spring to celebrate his life. The family will keep everyone informed of this memorial service as we would like everyone to come out and celebrate his life.
