Obituary for Charles Wayne Smith
Mr. Charles Wayne Smith, age 80, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his residence in Deville.
Mr. Smith retired from the Rapides Parish Sheriff Office after 25 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a master craftsman and woodworker. He will forever be missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Jenkins Smith; parents, Floyd E. Smith and Mildred White Smith; and siblings.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Gregory Smith and Frederick Smith; step-sons, Brian and Calvin Funderburk; and 14 grandchildren.
