Chadwick “Scott” Dickson, age 49, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternity on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family.

Scott is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Amber Dickson.

Scott is survived by his children, Madelyne Dickson, Landon Dickson, and Alyssa Nolen; his parents, Charles and Patricia “Pat” Dickson; his brothers, Michael Dickson, and Joshua (Valerie) Dickson; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Scott was born in Turkey Creek, Louisiana on February 8, 1974 where he grew up his whole life until going off to the Navy. He grew up with a big, loving, and hardworking family. His parents instilled in him that hard work paid off. And so, he worked hard. On November 15, 1997 he married Amber, the love of his life that he adored beyond ends. They are now reunited together again in Heaven.

Scott was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother; and had an amazing love for his country. He served in the United States Navy for two years and went to LSUA and got his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. He went on to be a law enforcement officer and worked hard to become a Louisiana State Trooper, from where he then retired. He held that title with such pride. It was in his nature to serve & protect.

Scott loved exploring and new adventures. He loved to go four-wheeler riding with friends and family, and riding his motorcycle. He adored his friends and family more than anything. He was incredibly easy to be around and get along with. He loved to give his favorite people a hard time. Everyone knew that if Scott didn’t pick on you, he didn’t like you!

Scott was truly such a “one of a kind” person. His sacrifice for his country, family, and friends will never be forgotten. Verse #1: 2 Timothy 2:11 “The saying is trustworthy, for; If we have died with Him, we will also live with Him”
Verse #2: Deuteronomy 33:27 “The eternal God is your refuge, and His everlasting arms are under you…”
