Obituary for Carrie Marjorie "Midge" Bell

Mrs. Carrie Marjorie “Midge” Bell , age 84, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Willis Knighton Hospital in Shreveport. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home.

Services will be held on Feb 20, 2021 at 11:00AM at Gallagher Funeral Home. The visitation will be from 9am until the time of service.

Midge was a very successful woman, especially for her generation. She was a successful wrestling promoter in Rapides Parish. She was an avid hunter and shared those skills with her children and grand-children. She owned and managed several businesses in Rapides Parish as well. She promoted the Grass Roots Band. She would supply watermelons to Camp Maryhill every summer. She was a buyer for The Cowboy Store, a rodeo clown and was most of all MiMi.

She is survived by children Natalie Bell and Quentin “Bubba” Bell. Step Children- Mike, Mark, Danny, Steve, and Julie Thompson. 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild, many adopted children.

Midge was preceded in death by her ex -husband Sputnik Monroe, her parents Alphonse and Carrie Bell, as well as siblings Gene, Newton, Natalie, Billy and Skeeter Bell.
