Obituary for Carl Anthony Sayer
Memorial services for Mr. Carl Anthony Sayer will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Harmony Church,16 Bell Rd, Deville, LA with Reverend Richie Craig officiating. Mr. Carl Anthony Sayer, age 83, of Ball, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Sayer was a loving companion, father, and grandfather. He proudly served his country in the US Army and Air Force, then retired from the oilfield after over 30 years of working. Mr. Sayer was an avid bass fisherman, was a part of a Hook em' bass fishing club, and participated in many tournaments. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
Mr. Sayer was preceded in death by his parents, Gordy Sayer and Susie Miller Sayer; son, Carl Anthony Sayer, Jr. "Tony"; siblings, Shirley Keith, Melba Stolpa, and Donnie Sayer; and granddaughter, Jessica Deville.
Those left to cherish his memory include wife, Betty Ryder Sayer; daughters, Mary Ann Deville (Hardy), Bernadette McCormick (Billy), Susan Craig (Glen), and Lee Sayer Baudin (Bret); son, Michael Sayer; long time companion, Wanda Alberti and her four daughters; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
