Obituary for Brendan David Weidner

Brendan David Weidner, age 14, entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 17th, 2022 at LSU Shreveport Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday evening at 7 PM, December 21st, 2022 at Church of Pentecost in Ball with Pastor Lonnie Weidner and Bishop Anthony Mangun officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM.

Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Brenton Weidner (Darlene), and his mother Alesha Cosby; his siblings Jonathan, Channing, Sawyer, Brayleigh, and Emory; his grandparents, Lonnie and Jeana Weidner, Todd Jolly and Renee Freidt (Tim); his uncles Clark (Amber) Weidner, Mason Weidner, Austin (Eryn) Waters; and his aunts KayCee (Nick) Messina, and Madisyn Jolly; and a host of other family and friends.

Brendan loved God with all of his heart. He was extraverted, intelligent, energetic, full of life, and always ready to lend a helping hand. He had a heart of gold and overcame more in his 14 years than most overcome in a lifetime. He enjoyed riding his bike, playing dodgeball, hanging out with “his boys,” jiu jitsu, swimming, gaming, playing soccer, and playing board games with his family. He was an honor student. He had a passion for serving in Spark Kids Ministries on Sunday mornings. He was actively involved in summer youth camps. He won the hearts of his family, church family, friends, and neighbors.
