Funeral services for Billy D. Boyd will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at East Jena Baptist Church, Jena, La with Reverend's Curtis R. Smith and Johnny Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Cemetery (aka Hair cemetery) in Jena. Visitation for Mr. Boyd will be on Sunday, at East Jena Baptist Church beginning at 1:00 p.m. under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory in Ball, LA.

Mr. Billy D. Boyd, age 87 of Jena, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Jena Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mr. Boyd was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He was a member of East Jena Baptist Church, served his country in the U.S. Army and worked for Justice Oil Company for 35 years. Mr. Boyd was a hardworking, oil-field tough man that said the "worse boss" he ever had was, his wife, Mrs. Orvalynn in their catering business "Cakes and More". Mr. Boyd never met a stranger, loved to tell stories and said "I talk a lot because my brother Mickey don't".

Mr. Boyd is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Orvalynn Willis Boyd; a daughter, Nancy McCool; a brother, Carlos "Mickey" Boyd; sister in law, Cynthia Bryan and a brother in law Jimmy Willis and wife Sue.
