Obituary for Billy Charles Debevec

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Billy Charles Debevec on Wednesday,
September 30th, 2020. He was 59.
Billy was born in New Orleans, LA, traveled around the world, and ultimately made a home in Alexandria, LA. As a
graduate of Alexandria Senior High and Louisiana State University, he spent many years working hard for the
community he loved. He was an owner of local accounting firm Dauzat and Debevec CPAs, a member of the
Westside Quality Assurance Board of Directors, and a dedicated parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic
Church. Billy loved people, but he especially loved HIS people.
He loved the opportunity to coach his boys' little league teams and to make his family laugh.
He loved sitting on the porch with his wife and sharing life advice around the dinner table.
He loved cooking, eating, inventing, debating, and cheering on the Tigers.
But most of all, he loved his wife and kids. Their happiness and success was his greatest pleasure.
And fishing. The man liked to fish.
Billy is already missed and will lovingly be remembered by his wife of 28 years, Susie; children, Samantha (husband
Thomas), Grant, Jackson; brother, Dan; father, John (wife Julie); mother-in-law, Joann; and numerous nieces,
nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Mary Pearl McNery and friend Don Corley.
Services to be held on October 10, 2020 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
