Obituary for Betty Ruth Milam Thornhill
Mrs. Betty Ruth Milam Thornhill, age 91, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at her home in Alexandria.
Services for Mrs. Thornhill will be held in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 12:00 with Pastor Jordan James officiating. The visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service with interment following in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.E. Thornhill; and parents, Bryant Milam and Bertha Cole.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughter, Mary Lou Burson; brother, Lester Milam; grandchildren, Jamar Descant (Cassidy); great grandchildren, Margaret Nasser (Jon Michael), Ashlee and Kyle Descant; and great great grandchild, "Josie" Nasser.
Mrs. Thornhill was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed ceramic making, sewing, and upholstery. Mrs. Thornhill also enjoyed going to the casino and poker night every Thursday. She will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.
