Obituary for Barbara Ann Tanner Fuqua
Mrs. Barbara Ann Tanner Fuqua, age 83, entered eternal rest on March 10, 2022 at her home in Pineville.
Services for Mrs. Fuqua will be held at Journey Church in Pineville on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Greer officiating. The visitation will be held on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball. Interment will follow the service on Saturday, in Pinegrove Cemetery in Ruby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Fuqua; son, Brett Fuqua; granddaughter, Clair Fuqua; daughter in law, Janet Fuqua; parents, Frank and Billie Tanner; brother, Gene Tanner; and sister, Sharon Smith.
Those left to cherish her memory includer her sons, Anthony “Tony” Fuqua and Curt Fuqua (Claudia); grandchildren, Kala Basco (Justin), Jason Fuqua (Britta), Nick Salard (Tiffany), Sarah Cole (Darrell), C.J. Fuqua, and Addyson Fuqua; great grandchildren, Kamryn Basco, Kinley Basco, Kent Fuqua, Jase Fuqua, Taytum Salard, Madilynn Salard, Anaya Fuqua, and Amelie’ Fuqua; sister, Bonnie Benignus; brothers, Buddy Tanner, Bruce Tanner, Steve Tanner; sister in law, Carol Tanner; brother and sister in law, Rodney and Betty Fuqua.
Mrs. Barbara Fuqua was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She was a faithful member of Journey church and she enjoyed reading; however, her greatest joy was her family. She was always interested and concerned with what was happening in each of her family members lives.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Jason Fuqua, C.J. Fuqua, Nick Salard, Justin Basco, Wendell Crooks, and Lloyd Fuqua. Honorary Pallbearers are Dewey Chellette, Jay Blair, and Jerry Havens.
The family would like to give special thanks to Cabrini ER Staff, Special Procedures, CHF Clinic, Darlene Doolitte, and Marsha Harrell for their kind care and support.
