Obituary for Ashley Layfield
Ashley Marie Layfield peacefully passed away during her sleep late Saturday evening, September 3, 2022 at the Tioga Community Care Center. The Visitation and Service will be held at Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory this Friday, September 9th, 2022 located at 3994 Monroe Highway Ball, LA 71405.
The visitation for family members of Ashley Layfield will be between 12pm-1pm. Visitation for friends of Ashley will be between 1pm-4pm. The Mass service will be conducted by Father Rick with Pastor Bill beginning at 4pm.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved three children, Daughter Alexia Layfield; Sons Tristan and Cameron Layfield; Parents, Mother Julie Warren, Father Steven Johns, Stepmother Joy Johns; Sisters Amanda Johns and Lana Johns; Brothers Adam, Kyle and Dalton Johns; Grandmother Ernestine Crawford; Mother in law Annette Mangel; Father in law Jay Layfield; Sister in law Renea Layfield; Aunts Jeannie Landry, Tammy Meadows, Janet Troquille and Arlene Kirby; Father of her children Byron Layfield; Great Aunts, Patricia Gray and Ima Jean Smith; Uncle, Edward Johns and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins that looked up to her dearly, and many friends.
Ashley was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, mother and friend. She was an independent person full of life, spirit and free will. She enjoyed traveling, music, swimming, and spending time around the ocean. She loved any and all animals. She lit up every room she walked through. She was a people person who loved to sing karaoke, dance and spend time doing fun activities with her precious children, family and friends. Ashley never met a stranger. Every person in the world, to her, was just a friend she hadn't met yet. Ashley requested that anyone who attends her visitation and services not to wear black and instead to wear something blue or bright, to match the beautiful bright soul and spirit that she exuded. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to be made that will go toward Ashley’s three children and to the family members that are caring for her children.
