Obituary for Anna Dean Briggs (Bucklew)
Mrs. Anna Dean Bucklew Briggs, age 77, of Pollock, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Briggs will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 4, 2020 at Springhill Cemetery with Reverends Bruce Maxwell, Mason Briggs, Randy Briggs, and Keith Maxwell officiating. Interment will be in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.
Mrs. Anna Briggs was a loving, mother, grandmother, and sister. She worked for many years, with great dedication, as a Patient Care Technician, even caring for many of her friends and family. Mrs. Briggs was even awarded Employee of the Year at Woodview Regional Hospital many years ago, for her hard work. She enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren, playing games, eating snack, or just admiring the flowers. Mrs. Briggs was fond of animals and was known to feed any chickens or cats that she came across. She will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcel D. Briggs, Sr.; parents, Warner and Melba Bucklew; and sister, Wanda "Mack" McWilliams.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Lisa Briggs Coon (Rodney) and LaDonna Briggs Delrie; son, Marcel D. "Dewayne" Briggs, Jr. (Rhonda); sister, Kathy Bucklew Ray (Bill); brothers, Buddy Bucklew, Bill Bucklew (Leslie), and Kelly Bucklew; 10 grandchildren, Brittany Lawrence, Marcie Aguliar, Mason Briggs, Logan Briggs, Cheyenne Briggs, Dakota Briggs, Andrew Briggs, Anna Briggs, Whitney Jurek, Landon Delrie; great grandchildren, Bennett, Beckett, Mark, Maraye, Liam, Lennox, Lydia, Ellis, Curtis, Charliee, Jaxon, Brayton, and Kash; and a host of extended family and friends.
