Obituary for Alva Lee Ladner
Mrs. Alva Lee Reeves Ladner, age 83 of Pineville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Sunday, January 29, 2023.
Visitation for Alva will be Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 10:30-1:00 PM at Gallagher Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1:00 PM at Gallagher Funeral Home with David Guillot officiating. Interment will be at Martha's Chapel Free Methodist Cemetery.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Jason Maxwell, Jamie Mobley, Robert Harrison, Jax Barker, Russell Maxwell and Hoyt Goodger.
Alva was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Adeline Reeves; son, Jospeh Kevin Folse; husband, Wayne Ladner; and son-in-law, WIlliam "Billy" Maxwell.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Belinda Maxwell; son, Barry Folse; grandchildren, Jason Maxwell (Terri) and Kayla Maxwell Mobley (Jamie); great grandchildren, Kelsey Harrison (Robert), Hannah Barker (Jax), Kaitlyn Maxwell and Elizabeth Mobley; great great grandchildren, Braxton Harrison, Bryson Graves, Eleanor Nick, and on the way, Kaston Barker.
Alva retired from two different careers, one in dental assisting that she did for many years and the other being the post office. She was the first female walking carrier for Pineville posts office. She loved to travel and never met a stranger. She enjoyed playing her piano was just a very fun and loving person; she loved her family with everything she had. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, daughter and friend and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
