Obituary for Addie "Geri" Oliver Autrey
Funeral services for Addie “Geri” Oliver Autrey will be at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Christway Church in Bentley, Louisiana with Pastor D. Cates officiating.
Visitation for Miss Geri will be on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment to follow at Big Creek Cemetery in Pollock, Louisiana. Services entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be, Joshua Autrey, Ernie Lemoine, Scott Winter, Cody O’Brien, Gaylen Denson, and David Butler. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Frankie Teasley, Pauline Butler, and Peggy Cohea.
Geri Autrey entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at her home in Bentley, Louisiana surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence E. Oliver and Vella D. Oliver; her great grandson, Lane Wesley Autrey; her siblings, James Ellis Oliver, Bettye Oliver Scarborough, Virginia Oliver Larrimore; Barbara Oliver Greene, and Sue Oliver Sims.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Bill Autrey; her children, Polly Autrey Smyithe (Jim), Steve Autrey (Donna), Marty Autrey (Sharon); her grandchildren, Jeffrey Lindseth, Jessica Winter (Scott), Joshua Autrey, Amanda Autrey Lemoine (Ernie), Candice Autrey, Lacey Autrey, and Hope Autrey O’Brien (Cody); 8 great grandchildren; her siblings, Algerene Oliver Denson, and Sam Oliver (Grace); and her numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading, and word puzzles, but most of all spending quality time with her family and friends that she loved so much. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the American Cancer Society or Christway Church in Geri’s memory.
