Obituary for Abby Pentecost Tiegs

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Abby Marie Pentecost Tiegs, age 65, on August 13, 2021, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, Louisiana.

Ms. Tiegs was born on December 25, 1955, in Anchorage, Alaska. Abby retired from the VA Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana after 40 years of federal government service. She was an avid lover of dogs and a wonderful mother to her Fur Babies and will be greatly missed by “Trixi”. Abby loved music, traveling, cooking, reading, and shopping, especially if there was a bargain to be found. She was funny, vivacious, and a fiery red head. Abby will be forever remembered for her passionate soul, beautiful blue eyes, infectious smile, and big laugh. Although our hearts are heavy, we celebrate her life and find comfort in knowing she is in heaven with her “Momma” and “Daddy”.

Abby is preceded in death by her father, Jim Young Pentecost and her mother, Armatha “Sweetie” Scott Pentecost.

Left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Cindy Long, and Sylvia “Becky” Williams and husband Willy; her nieces, Jessica Rothert and Stacey Charrier; her nephew, James Williams; her grand- nieces, grand- nephew; cousins; and friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the health care professionals at Rapides Regional Medical Center for their great care, compassion, and comfort given to Abby.

Friends may call the funeral home at 318-640-1375 or post messages of condolence for the Tiegs family by visiting www.gallagherfh.com.
