Life Story for Wesley Clyde Aultman

Mr. Wesley Clyde Aultman, age 74, passed away Friday October 12 peacefully at home surrounded by family. Funeral services for Mr. Aultman will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana. Friends may visit on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mr. Aultman was born in Florida and grew up in Mississippi. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1962 at the age of 17. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran, serving during the Tet Offensive. He was also stationed in Korea, Germany, and Mississippi. During his time in service, he was Captain of the USAF Pistol Shooting Team. Mr. Aultman proudly served 23 years and retired from the Air Force in 1985 as a Master Sergeant. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Clyde Aultman; mother, Elder McCraw; and sister, Dahlene Phillips.

Mr. Wesley Aultman is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Maryann Zimmerman Aultman; sons, Wesley John Aultman and Christopher Aultman (Amy); daughters, Lisa Aultman, Michelle Ramos, Chandra Vaught (Quade), and Victoria Whittle (AL); brother, Glenn Aultman (Kathy); 15 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Teresa Hicks for the care and friendship given to Mr. Aultman and his entire family during his illness. Also a thank you is sent to the nurses and staff of Guardian Hospice Care, you are truly angels.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to a local children’s home.
