Obituary for William Joshua "Josh" Butter
Mr. William Joshua “Josh” Butter, age 33, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at his residence in Pineville, Louisiana. Memorial services for Mr. Butter will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, in Ball, Louisiana. Friends are welcomed to visit, starting at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Mr. Josh was a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend. He was a talented artist who enjoyed drawing, painting, and making jewelry. Josh was a fixer and true craftsman able to build anything he set his mind to. He was a gentle giant with a big heart and cared for his family, especially Alex. Josh will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, J.B. Butter; maternal grandparents, Ruth Wall Ship, Douglas McCann, Edgar Ship; two uncles, Rod McCann and Ellis Desoto; two aunts, Daisy Klutts and Iris Desoto; cousins, Ruth Cork and Cole Burkett.
He is survived by his father, William Butter of Forest Hill; mother, Letty McCann of Pineville; paternal grandmother, Vivian Butter of Pineville; one sister, Vanessa Ellington (Jeffrey) of Tioga; one nephew, Alexander “Alex” Ellington of Tioga; a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends; his four-legged fur baby, Little One.
