Graveside services for Mr. Jimmy Lindhal Gunn will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy 8 in Bentley, Louisiana with Reverend Ron Nation officiating. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana. Friends may visit on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Oak Grove Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Gunn, age 82, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Christus Saint Frances Cabrini Hospital.

Mr. Jimmy Gunn was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was baptized at an early age in Pineville, Louisiana. He also had Polio as a young boy and grew to become very independent while seeking treatment in New Orleans. Mr. Jimmy would help anyone who was in need, from fixing cars to driving a bus. He was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church. He loved to fish, read history about the Civil War, and enjoyed a good joke. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.

Mr. Gunn was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Gunn and Ruby Crain Gunn; and brother, Robert Reginald Gunn.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Hattie Frazier Gunn of Bentley; daughters, Monica Ann Wiggins (Davis) of Bentley, Elizabeth Elaine Courtney of Bentley, and Kimberly Sue Evans (Charles Dandy) of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Sarah Nation (Kash) of Waco, TX, Mason Courtney of Baton Rouge, Caroline Courtney of New Orleans, Brett Evans of Rocklin, CA, Kellie Evans (Daniel) of Sacramento, CA, Aimee Evans and Allison McGuire (Patrick) of Sacramento, CA; and ten great grandchildren.
