Mary Louise  McManus Jackson Bryant (Wallette)
Memorial services for Mrs. Mary Louise Wallette McManus Jackson Bryant will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church, Colfax, Louisiana with the Reverends Carl Gulde and Tim Lee officiating, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mrs. Bryant, age 80, of Colfax, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on
Monday, December 18, 2017 at Colfax Reunion Nursing Home, Colfax, Louisiana, surrounded by her loving family.


Mrs. Bryant was a graduate of Northwestern State University. She retired as a teacher and coach in Terrebonne, Grant Parish’s and from the State of Louisiana Social Services. She also worked for the Grant Parish Headstart Program for 6 years and volunteered as a Pink Lady at local hospitals. Mary spent her life teaching children and youth as a Sunday school teacher and Choir Director. She was always helping others, all while continually serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Per her wishes, her body was donated to science.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Delia Smith Wallette; one daughter, Roxanne McManus; husbands, Ross McManus and Troy Jackson.

She is survived by her husband, Herschel H. Bryant of Colfax; two sons, Rodney McManus (Sheila) of Pineville, Orin McManus of Dry Prong; one grandson, Ethan McManus of Alexandria; one granddaughter, Jordan McManus of Alexandria; great grandson, Landen McManus of Alexandria; step-sons, Dan Bryant (Tammy) of Pineville, Don Bryant of Tampa, Florida; step-daughter, Brenda Bryant of Stockton, CA; step-grandchildren, Howie Bryant and Kathy Cooper; numerous cousins and friends.

Friends may visit on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church, Colfax, Louisiana from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 5:00 p.m.

The family request that all memorials be made to either, Bethel Baptist Church or Colfax Baptist Church’s RA and GA funds.
