Funeral services for Mr. Leo “Pete” Edward Levasseur, Jr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Church of Pentecost, Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Gene Decker officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball Louisiana.

Mr. Levasseur, age 74, of Ball, Louisiana entered eternal rest on September 25, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Pete owned and operated Pete’s Body Shop for over 30 years. He worked as a volunteer police officer for the Town of Ball and the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Department. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in the Vietnam War. He loved music and playing his guitar, in which he was a member in several bands, years ago. Pete loved camping, fishing and listening to his CB, his Ham Radio call sign was KD5FYB and his CB handle was Sneaky Pete. He was a member of Pinehurst Baptist Church, Ball, Louisiana. He was an avid customer of Ball Foods and Bumper to Bumper. Mr. Pete was a fixture in the Town of Ball and will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Ruth Levasseur of Ball; one son, Mark Levasseur (Lisa) of Ball; one daughter, Debbie Brevelle (Byron) of Ball; one sister, Blanche Abraham (Harry) of West Forks, Maine; four grandchildren Michael Brevelle (Emily), Kaylyn Shorter (Chad), Courtney Levasseur and Jonathan Levasseur; two-great grandchildren, Bailyn Brevelle and Bentley Brevelle; many nieces, nephews and friends; also survived by his favorite fur friend, Bear.

Friends may visit on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Church of Pentecost in Ball, Louisiana from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
