Willard Paul "Willie"  Tassin
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Willard Paul Tassin, Jr., will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Saint Martin Catholic Church, in Lecompte, Louisiana.

Mr. Tassin, better known as Willie, age 79, of Lecompte, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at his daughter’s residence in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Mr. Tassin worked for NCR for 34 years. He also worked with the Volunteer Fire Department of Lecompte for 18 years, where he retired as Chief. Mr. Tassin was also a part of the Rapides Parish Honor Guard.

Mr. Tassin is preceded in death by his parents, Willard Paul Tassin, Sr. and Callie McCann Tassin; and childhood sweetheart and wife of 24 years, Billie Austin Tassin.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barbara “Bobbie” McDermit Tassin of Lecompte; sons, Paul Tassin of Alexandria and Michael Ferdinand (Carol) of Palacious, Texas; daughters, René McFarland (Phil) of Covington, Janet Hoyt (Bill) of Houston, Texas, and Patti Ann Bordelon (Al) of Alexandria; brother, Donald Tassin (Jo) of Lecompte; sister, Marie Lemoine of Alexandria, thirteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Saint Martin Catholic Church in Lecompte, Louisiana from 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

The Tassin family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Compassionate Care Hospice for their care and concern for Mr. Tassin.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made to St. Jude’s Memorial Hospital or to Parkinson’s research.
