Funeral services for Mr. Danny R. Smith will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with the Rev. Bruce Miller officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Pineville, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Smith, age 78, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Grace Home in Alexandria, Louisiana.

He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Pineville, La. He was a loving father and grandfather. He loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Mrs. Mary Elaine “Tinker” Smith of Pineville; two sons, Michael Ross Smith (Vicki) of Winnfield and Kenny Smith (Kaye) of Newnan, Georgia; one daughter, Elizabeth Smith Gosch (Rick) of Newnan, Georgia; one sister, Carrie Parson of Victoria, Texas; six grandchildren, Megan and Richard Gosch of Newnan, Georgia, Jed Smith of Stonewall, La., Tori Smith of Farmerville, La., Jamie and Tanner Smith of Newnan, Georgia; one great grandchild, Cutter Jordan.

Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana by the Staff of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
