Funeral services for Mr. William “Billy” Phillips, Jr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with the Reverends Billy Ray Dorsey & Howard Sims officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Phillips, age 67, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, Louisiana,

Mr. Phillips retired from the USAF after 25 years of service as Master Sergeant; also serving 3 years in U.S. Army. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was also retired from the V.A. Medical Center after 11 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents William, Sr. and Bobbie N. Sims Phillips; one brother, Ernest Phillips.

He is survived by his loving with of 27 years, Mrs. Josephine Phillips of Alexandria; one daughter, Jojuana Rebecca Phillips of Alexandria; one brother, Charles Phillips (Elvira) of Houston; one sister, Rita Hurts (Lance) of Chicago; also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
